Judith's Story
Growing up in Foster Care from the age of 9, Judith experienced various challenges such as exclusions from school and college, run ins with the law and a crisis which led to a period of poor mental health, but tenaciously sought to make it in life. After a miraculous recovery, Judith was guided to take stock of her natural skills and abilities to help her map out the next steps of her life. On this personal road of discovery, Judith began to visualize her potential, causing her to seek out expert Mentors and Professionals to help further develop her skills. It was here that Judith also began to understand her God given purpose, ‘to help make a difference in the lives of those she can relate to’, and passionately set about achieving this goal of inspiring change through her lived experience.
With that in mind, Judith is now the CEO and Founder of a Social Enterprise ‘The Transformed You’, a powerful Speaker, an empowering Trainer, an expert Consultant and an authentic Author.
As an Influencer, Judith has sat on various Childrens’ Social Care Panels, and was an Expert By Experience Board Member for England’s Independent Review of Children’s Social Care. Judith is also the Founder of The Black Care Experience helping to shape a better Care Experience for Black Children and Young People In Care in Children’s Social Care System.
